Engage in Germany welcomes students, English native and non-native speakers, and people from all countries who are 18 to 70 years old to join any of the Center’s volunteer, internship, and Arabic programs.
The period of participation can span anywhere from 1 to 13 weeks. For volunteers, interns, and students, Engage in Germany’s program flexibility is designed to work around their schedules, with programs being available year-round (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and starting and ending dates up to the participant’s choice!
Immersed in German Culture and Arab Culture
Our hope is for our volunteers to enjoy the volunteer projects in Germany they participate in as well as enjoy being immersed in German culture and Arab culture. Since Engage in Germany works with Germans and Arabs in the community, the Center has a beautiful blend of cultures to experience.
From our morning Arabic-style breakfasts to our cultural evenings with locals and internationals, many aspects of Engage in Germany make it stand out among other organizations. What Does the Volunteer Teaching English in Germany Program Entail? Â
In addition to your teaching English, your volunteer program will include the following:
- A daily breakfast at the Center.
- Three hours of Arabic or German classes per week.
- Residing with a local host family or in a shared room in the city of Halle.
- Participating in the Centre’s social and community activities.
- The Center will also arrange visits to historical sites and other sites of interest in the city of Halle.
Are There Any Teaching Materials?Â
Yes, Engage in Germany has vast experience in teaching English as a second language to students who come from various backgrounds. This means that all you need is your teaching skills or teaching experience and all learning materials including books and teaching manuals will be available to you to make it easier. Also, the center is equipped with all types of equipment/technical support including whiteboards, speakers, a projector, pencils, coloring pens, and others.

Volunteer Programs for English Speakers in Germany Fees?
Engage in Germany charges a fee a week, the cost includes:
- A tour in Halle

Summer Internships – Volunteer Abroad
While the volunteer program in Germany is available all year, the Summer is the most advantageous and exciting time. With a team from all around the world, Engage in Germany is rife with students throughout May, June, July, and August, making it the perfect time to Intern after graduation.
The program includes a language course (3 hours of German per week), responsibilities as an English Teacher, housing, logistic help, breakfast 4 days a week, and an immersive experience in our community in Halle. The program can last between 1-13 weeks- as you decide for yourself. Winter Volunteer Programs
Engage in Germany offers winter volunteer and internship programs which start from October to late March for the people who would like to come to Europe to volunteer, study a new language, and meet new cultures and people. Volunteers and interns can stay from 1-13 weeks.
